Construction industry in Tiruchi resilient

There are indications that all talk of slowdown in construction sector may not be relevant in Tiruchi district.

Proprietors of firms that have put up stalls at the The Hindu Property Plus Living Spaces in association with The Hindu Tamil Sondha Veedu that was inaugurated at the Indian Medical Association Hall were unanimous in their observation that the district is unconnected with the boom and doom scenario of real estate market, going by the parameter of demand.

Since the bulk of home buyers in Tiruchi district constitute businessmen, bank employees and college professors, builders have not been affected by the trend elsewhere, according to T.V. Anand, Managing Partner, Manghalam Estates.

Buyers have options to settle for houses suiting varied budgets, Fiaz Ahmed Khan, Manager - Administration, South India Private Shelters Pvt. Ltd., said.

The participants comprise CS Housing, South India Shelters, Ponni Delta, Adhithyaa Constructions, Navaneetha Property developers, Royal Shelter, Manghalam Properties, Godrej Interio, and Grahasree. The SBI has put up a stall to provide details of home loans for prospective customers.
