Applications for putting up shops

The district administration has invited applications from traders who wish to put up temporary platform shops in front of the Town Hall ground ahead of Deepavali.

Collector K. Rajamani said the procedure followed last year would be adopted this year. Shop areas of 80 square feet each would be allotted under three categories based on their location. The fee would be Rs. 4,000 for A category shops, Rs. 3,500 for B category, and Rs. 3,000 for C category. Applications, indicating the category of shop accompanied by the fee in demand draft drawn in favour of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruchi, should be submitted at the RDO office before 5.45 p.m. on October 12. If applicants exceeded the shops, the allotment would be by draw of lots in the RDO's office at 11 a.m. on October 13.
