Co-optex showrooms in the citt - Discount Sale begins

The Co-optex showrooms in the city and neighbouring districts have stocked up the latest arrivals ahead of the Deepavali festival.

The annual Deepavali festival discount sale got underway at the showrooms on Friday, with District Collector K. Rajamani inaugurating the sale at the Pothigai Showroom near Central Bus Stand.

New designs of Kancheepuram, Arani and Thanjavur silk sarees and products from various cooperative societies across the State are on display. A 30% festival discount will be on offer at the showrooms.

Mr. Rajamani said the showrooms of Co-optex in Thanjavur region had recorded sales to the tune of Rs. 11.11 crore during the Deepavali festival season last year and they had been fixed a target of Rs. 14.90 crore this year.

The Pothigai showroom alone had been fixed a festival sale target of Rs. 2.70 crore against last year’s sale of Rs. 2.06 crore, he said.
