Shooting contest held

The annual shooting competition for police officers from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Police and above of the Central region was held at Naranamangalam firing range in Perambalur district on Saturday.

The event saw senior officers using revolver and pistol to fire at the target.

Commissioner of Police, Tiruchi, A. Arun emerged the overall winner in the contest.

In the Superintendents of Police category, Perambalur Superintendent of Police Disha Mittal came on top, said police sources.

Inspector General of Police, Operations C. Chandrasekar monitored the event.

IG Chandrasekar gave away prizes to the winners.
