Seal commercial complex in Tiruchirappalli: HC

The Madurai Bench of the Madras High court on Thursday directed the authorities to seal a com• mercial complex (Rathna stores) for constructing a building in violation of rules on NSB road in Tiruchy. The court issued this direction based on a petition filed by one Begum from Tiruchy.
When the court heard the case, the judges said that already a stay was granted against carrying out construction work. While permission was granted only for construction of two stories, the owner had constructed four stories in the building, said the court. The court directed the local planning authority to file the action taken report on August 16.
