Partial cancellation of trains announced

Southern Railway will partially cancel a couple of passenger trains and announced that a express train would be regulated due to line block for engineering work between Tiruverumbur and Ponmalai stations near Tiruchi on August 22 and 28.

The Mayiladuthurai – Tirunelveli – Mayiladuthurai passengers (Train No. 56821 / 56822) will be partially cancelled between Mayiladuthurai – Tiruchi – Mayiladuthurai on August 22 and 28. The Chennai Egmore – Tiruchi express (Train No. 16853) will be regulated for 15 minutes at Tiruverumbur on August 22 and 28, a Southern Railway press release said.

The Southern Railway has announced that Train No.06044 Kochuveli – Karaikal special train, scheduled to leave Kochuveli on August 23 and 30 and Train No.06043 Karaikal – Kochuveli special train, scheduled to leave Karaikal on August 24 and 31 have been cancelled due to poor patronage.
