LHB coaches for express train

The weekly Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Karaikal-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (via Chennai Egmore) express trains would run with Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches from this week.

According to a press release from Southern Railway, Train No 11017 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Karaikal weekly express will run with LHB coaches from August 12 and in the return direction, Train No.11018, would run with the coaches from August 14. Consequently, the composition of Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Karaikal – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus weekly express trains will be revised and would have one air-conditioned 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class and three general second class coaches.

The Southern Railway has also announced that it would run the following special trains on Nagore-Karaikal-Nagore section for six months commencing Friday:

T.No.06854 Nagore – Karaikal Passenger Special will leave Nagore at 2.10 p.m. and will arrive at Karaikal at 2.35 p.m.

T.No.06853 Karaikal - Nagore Passenger Special will leave Karaikal at 2.45 p.m. and will arrive at Nagore at 3.08 p.m.
