Good response to BDU job fair

AROUND 685 candidates were issued offer letters on-the-spot in a job fair held at Bharathidasan Uni-versity's (BDU) in Khajamalai campus on Saturday. Over 1,565 candidates were selected, who would be given offer-letters soon and 880 have been selected for further round of inter-view. The Career and Counselling Cell (CCC) of BDU in association with Equitas Trust, Vizion India, Arrant HR Solutions and E-Limitless conducted the job fair.

About 40 companies from South India including Eureka Forbes, Exide Life Insurance, and MRF visited to conduct interviews. The candidates were called in for over 1,500 va-cancies in the 40 companies. Around 2,085 candidates from various parts of Tamil Nadu took part in the fair. About 41 percent of the candidates belonged to arts and science catego-ry, around eight percent were MBA degree holders, four percent were MCA graduates, 14 percent be-longed to SSLC, Class XII, M and Diploma, and the remaining 33 percent were engineering students. The candidates were put through various selection tests like aptitude test, group discussion, and personal interview .
