Focus on neurology healthcare facilities

Image result for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Association of NeurologistsThe Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Association of Neurologists will liaise with the State Government to ensure that epileptic and stroke patients undergoing treatment are given medication and drugs in all the government hospitals in Tamil Nadu without interruption, it's newly elected president M. A. Aleem said.

The Association would also advocate a plan of action for strengthening neurology healthcare facilities in the State in both academic and professional spheres, said Dr. Aleem who was elected to the post for the year 2017-18 at the conference of the Association held in the city recently.

The association will also strive for addition of more neurological disorders of acute and chronic nature under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme.

The Association of Neurologists will also seek starting a DM Neurology course with two to four seats in the super speciality course being conducted at the K. A. P. Viswanatham Government Medical College, Tiruchi, Dr. Aleem, who is also former Vice-Principal of the College, said.
