App-based cabs soon at rly station

Image result for App based cabsA TOTAL of 20 cabs, exclusively for app-based taxi service, have been facilitated in front of Tiruchy Junction station and the service is expected to be officially inaugurated within the next few days by the Minister for Railways, Suresh Prabhu, through video conferencing. The cabs to be engaged for the app-based cab service at Tiruchy Junction entrance are to be parked in an area of 210 square metres, said railway authorities. This is the first-of-its-kind
service in Tiruchy Division and the third in the zone. Passengers would be benefitted as the services would be comparatively cheaper and the journey safer.  For long, Tiruchi Railway Division Authorities have been pushing for prepaid auto services here. The Indian Railways, a few months ago, had forged a deal with these companies, through which revenue can be generated for the railways and for the com-panies. The taxi service compa-nies will display their advertise-ments across the railway parking lots. Currently, a parking bay has been readied in front of the rail-way junction where Ola pre-scribed rates will be implement-ed. Both sides of the DRM office and the Tiruchy Junction.
