A new initiative by the Tiruchirapalli city corporation and Yugga launched

The Tiruchirappalli city corporation and 'Yugga • an all Women Social Welfare Organisation' jointly organised a new initiative named "Maasilla Tiruchy-Maatram Thedi" (Let us work toge-ther with college students and build a cleaner Tiruchy) under SWACCH BHARAT MISSION.


Rajamani inaugurated the scheme, after administering a solemn pledge to take measures for the eradication of dengue fever. The 'Yugga' president Ms. Allirani Balaji and ci-ty corporaration commissioner N. Ravichandran among others joined in the pledge-taking. In his address, Mr. Raja-mani appreciated the joint efforts of the Tiruchy city corporation and Tug.

 Mr. Rajamani also distributed a herbal drink "Nita Vembu Kashayam", an anti-dengue medicine to all the participants. While over 750 students of various colleges participated in the awareness programme, they also dis-tributed handbills on soli-d waste management among the people. Among others, city corporation engineer Nages-h, executive engineer Ms. Amuthavalli and Government Law College principal Dr Rajeswaran, participated in the meet.
