The Tiruchirapalli District Industries Centre (DIC) has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 6.69 crore loan assistance with subsidy component of 11.67 crore to 33 beneficiaries under the New Entrepreneurs-cum-Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) during the last six years from 2011, according to Tiruchy collector K.Rajamani. In a release here on Friday. he said that 1,106 unemployed youth were given loan assistance to the tune of 115.60 crore, under the self-employ-ment scheme for the unemployed youth, including a subsidy portion of 13.92 crore. He said under the Prime Minister's creating new Job opportunities (Start-Ups) scheme. 140 persons were given loans to the tune of t 12.15 crore with a subsidy of 13.03 crore, during the year 2016.17.
