Recruitment for constables begins

Several candidates appeared in Tiruchi and Thanjavur for the recruitment of Grade –II Police Constables, Grade –II Jail Warders and Firemen which got underway on Thursday.

Police sources said over 800 male applicants turned up for the selection at Tiruchi out of the 1,000 candidates for whom call letters were dispatched by the TNUSRB.

The recruitment was held at the District Armed Reserve ground at Subramaniapuram. Commissioner of Police, Tiruchi S. Arun who was the super check officer monitored the recruitment process.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tiruchi Range K. Bhavaneeswari and Superintendent of Police, Tiruchi P. S. C. Kalyan were also present.
